Beautiful Sacrifice A Novel The Maddox Brothers Book 3 edition by Jamie McGuire Literature Fiction eBooks

Like all of the other books in the "Beautiful" series, I read this in 1-2 days. Like the others, it is easy to become captivated by the Maddox brothers. Their charming, no nonsense, but yet totally enthralling attitudes create an addictive reading experience.

With that being said, I would like to iterate something. I read this particular romance genre as a guilty pleasure. I don't read these books expecting them to change how I see the world. Did I see every single plot twist coming in advance? Yes. Was I surprised by any of them? No. However, I still found the main characters Taylor and Falyn to be likeable enough to keep my attention and making me want to keep reading. Most of the more negative reviews I've read have stated that there was too much angst in the storyline... I get that, but at the same time angst pretty much comes with the romance genre and is to be expected, in my opinion.

The minor characters' plots could have used some work, and at times the story felt rushed. However, I still gave this book 4 stars because it was an entertaining escape from reality, and isn't that the whole point of reading anyways?

Beautiful Sacrifice A Novel The Maddox Brothers Book 3 edition by Jamie McGuire Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

OMG, this book was another amazing story written by Jamie McGuire. I don't think she has ever disappointed. We all LOVE each and every one of the Maddox brothers but there was something about Taylor that made him surpass the others. He was sweet, sexy and a bad boy prince charming who fights for what he wants. I could barely put this book down and I already want to read it again. Without spoiling it for everyone who reads this, I'll just say that I was impressed with the way Falyn got her closure and also how she didn't let Taylor take all the blame for his actions. I also like how each book is it's own but at some point they all tie in together. This is a must read if you've read any of the other books in this series. I can't wait for the next Maddox Brothers book to come out.
Loved this!
Jamie McGuire did an amazing job with this book.
There is no way to top Travis in Beautiful Disaster, but Taylor is a close second to me.
Taylor has a dangerous job and a soft heart. He's sweet and reliable but a Maddox brother through and through.
I would have given this book 5 stars but Falyn really got on my nerves.
She was so stand offish. She was bull headed and sometimes just rude. Most of the time I found her attitude with Taylor humorous because he was used to girls falling at his feet.
When they finally decided it was time to make things official Falyn had to be stubborn and keep pushing him away.
Which ends up changing their world drastically.
If you have read the whole series as I have, you will see that the time line in Taylor's story falls during the year after Travis and Abby eloped and during the time of their vow renewal.
I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for Tyler's story.
I really don't want to see this series end. Please Jamie keep it going even if it follows all the young Maddox kids years later.
Falyn left her family behind after they made her, decide something, that she regrets every day. Deciding that she doesn’t need her family’s money or support she gets a job at the local café and is saving her money to take a trip to Eakins to help her let go of her past.
Everything was going as planned until Taylor Maddox walks into the café, he’s a hotshot firefighter, although Falyn tries to keep him at a distance and is honest that she wants to go back to Eakins, somewhere along the line Falyn realises that they have feelings for each other and Taylor supports Falyn with her reason for returning to Eakins and makes it the best day of her life.
There are ups and downs as always with the Maddox boys, the sheer determination of Taylor that Falyn is the only other woman he has loved, makes it interesting.
You also get a bigger glimpse of Tyler Maddox, can’t wait to see where he’s story goes.
Man oh man. How is it that every time I think I don't have enough room in my heart for another Maddox brother, Jamie McGuire goes and proves me wrong? Beautiful Sacrifice was an absolutely sensational ride from start to finish. There are few books that can bring tears to my eyes, but this one did it - several times. This is one of those books that you have to invest in - it's not easy, but the end is worth all the pain.

I adored the characters in this book. I think Falyn is one of those heroines you either hate or you love and I freaking LOVED her. She was almost as stubborn as the Maddox boys, which seems to be right up their alley as far as women they're attracted to. But there's more to Fallyn than possibly any other girl in the Maddox family. Fallyn has been through a lot - and I do mean A LOT. As if her past wasn't complicated, she has to face many of the same experiences that have scarred her before in a completely new way with the man she loves in this novel. It's difficult to read at times, but Jamie McGuire makes it beautiful by the end (the title is literally so fitting).

What I love most about Jamie's books is her innate ability to make me care about ALL the characters. I really wish I could go to the Bucksaw Cafe. I want to eat Phaedra's pies, have late night conversations with Pete, and kick it at Cowboys with all the hot shots, Kirby, and her man. We even got to see a little of Travis, Thomas, Tyler, and Trenton in Beautiful Sacrifice along with all their girls. It's interesting to see the wedding (Travis and Abby) from different POVs. So much drama going on during that beautiful ceremony!

As always, this book is very well-written and Jamie does not disappoint in the area of twists and surprises. I will give this warning if you are a stickler reader, meaning you have no room in your heart to open your mind and look at complicated situations from someone else's view, then I don't recommend reading this. Why? Because I feel you might misjudge the characters and slander the book. I hope that only those with open minds and hearts read this book. Not everything in life is an easy decision. Nothing is black and white. Nothing can simply be or not be. Sometimes, sacrifices have to be made.

And that's what this book is all about. <3

Beautiful Sacrifice is a thrilling love story with a beautiful message. Five stars!
